How can I fix the image size on my projector and monitor at the same time?

The steps outlined below will help you configure the display settings on your computer/monitor so that images will fill the screen while mirroring/duplicating your display.

Right-click anywhere on blank part of Desktop - select Intel Graphics Settings

Intel Graphics window opens - click on Display

Under General Settings - choose the monitor under Select Display (usually says HP XXXX)

  • For 19 inch monitor (shown) - set Resolution to 1440x900
  • For 20 inch monitor - set Resolution to 1600x1200
  • For both sizes - select the checkbox next to Scale Full Screen
  • Then click Apply in the lower right corner

Now the projector settings need to match…

Under General Settings - choose the projector under Select Display (usually says Epson PJ)

  • For 19 inch monitor (shown) - set Resolution to 1440x900
  • For 20 inch monitor - set Resolution to 1600x1200
  • For both sizes - select the checkbox next to Scale Full Screen
  • Then click Apply in the lower right corner

To get the image to display on the entire SMART Board, you may need to adjust the Aspect setting to either Full or 4:3.

  • The projector remote should have a button labeled Aspect
  • Pressing the button repeatedly will toggle through different settings - press until the image fills up the SmartBoard.
