Why do my volume controls keep muting themselves during Zoom calls?

ISSUE 

          During a Zoom meeting, the internal microphone & speaker volume will get muted automatically 



RESOLUTION


  1. Click on the magnifying glass next to the Windows Start button, type in Control Panel, and click on the Control Panel app




  2. In Control Panel, change the view type from Category to Small Icons, then click on Sound in the listing




  3. In the Sound menu
    • Choose the Playback tab
    • Select Speakers
    • Then choose Properties
      • In the Speakers Properties Menu, select the Advanced tab
      • Uncheck all boxes under Exclusive Mode & Signal Enhancements
      • Select OK




  4. Continuing in the Sound Menu
    • Choose the Recording tab
    • Select Microphone Array
    • Then choose Properties
      • In the Microphone Array Properties menu, select the Advanced tab
      • Uncheck all boxes under Exclusive Mode & Signal Enhancements
      • Select Ok



  5. You can now close out of the Sound menu completely.
