The following instructions will guide students and their parent/guardian(s) through the password reset process.
NOTE: ParentVUE on a mobile phone may not work to reset the password because the side menu may not be present. Please use your student's Chromebook or a personal laptop or computer to complete these steps if you have trouble with your mobile phone.

*ParentVUE and SSO student password websites can be accessed on District Chromebooks from the Apps section at the lower left of the screen prior to log in by clicking on "ParentVUE Login" or "SSO - Forgot Password"
To reset your District password:
- Ask your parent/guardian to visit *ParentVUE (https://il-ipsd-psv.edupoint.com/PXP2_Login_Parent.aspx) and log in with their ParentVUE username and password.
Using the drop-down menu in the upper left-hand corner, they will select the student who needs a password reset from the drop-down menu, noting their student ID number.
Your parent/guardian will click the "Student Info" tab.
Parent/Guardian will scroll down to locate the Self-Service Password Reset PIN, and provide you, the student, with that pin number. Take note of this PIN number for the next step.
Note: The PIN number resets every four hours and within 30 minutes of use.
Visit the *SSO student self-service password page (https://sso.ipsd.org/portal/claim/step1).
Enter your Student District user name (without k12.ipsd.org), your student ID number, and the self-service password PIN provided by your parent/guardian.
After verifying this information, you can select and enter your new password.
Additionally you may be asked to also remove the student's profile from their Chromebook before attempting to sign in again. Instructions on how to do this can be found in the article How to Remove a User Profile on a Chromebook.
